Qeerroo Bilisummaa Oromoo, ABO's youth league, claims it's been organizing the massive peaceful rallies across Oromia in October 2017. From October 11 to 17, 2017, the group shared daily video clips of the rallies on its Facebook page. These clips had been compiled together for documentation purposes and can be watched here:- https://vimeo.com/238707297

The rallies have been peaceful (nonviolent); most of the rally-goers have been seen carrying the Oromo Liberation Front’s (OLF’s) flag of “red-green-red,” which, through time, has become a symbol of the Oromo nationalism in the resistance struggle against the Tigrean People’s Liberation Front (TPLF aka Woyane), the party of ethnic Tigreans who have dominated the Ethiopian federal government since its formation in 1991. In their chants, the rally-goers have expressed their support for the OLF and denounced the TPLF/Woyane; in some instances, they have also expressed their support for the current administration, led by Mr. Lemma Megersa, of the Oromia National Regional State; Mr. Lemma Megersa’s administration uses pro-Oromummaa and pro-Ethiopianist nationalist rhetoric to garner support from all sectors of Oromian citizens, and beyond. In some of the clips, the participants have also called on the TPLF government to release all political prisoners, including Dr. Merera Gudina and Mr. Bekele Gerba, leaders of the Oromo Federalist Congress (OFC).

Known as “Qeerroo” for short, ABO’s youth wing, the National Youth Movement for Freedom and Democracy (NYMFD), announced its formation in April 2011. Among its demands are: (1) the end of military rule of TPLF in Oromia and other oppressed regions, such as Ogadenia and Sidama-land; (2) the unconditional and immediate release of all political prisoners; (3) the confiscation of all TPLF-owned conglomerates; (4) the immediate termination of the land-grabbing policy; (5) the removal of the TPLF-dominated government and its replacement by a Transitional Government of national liberation movements, and opposition and civic groups. Qeerroo calls the current movement “Fincila Xumura Gabrummaa (FXG),” meaning: Revolt to End National Slavery [of the Oromo Nation]. The youth group has regular radio transmissions in Afaan Oromoo and Amharic to Oromia/Ethiopia.

OMN without Abdii Fiixee is like Jawar giving his magnificent public speeches NAKED!
I don’t know both brothers personally but I remember that Abdii not only co-founded OMN but I know he is a victim of a stray dog he lifted from habasha toilet to a national prominence.

It is about time the Board of Trustees thought deeply (if they can) about whether the organization cannot stand without its most controversial employee, and bring back all 10-12 journalists and its past president who were all hardworking oromo nationalists unjustly fired.

Needless to say, Jawar is a good speaker, but he has consistently shown to be the worst administrator, ever. Firing the best, most dedicated, and capable people is like trying to look like a horse among the donkeys. I recommend OMN release Jawar from his responsibilities in OMN in order to bring order to the institution, because as long as he remains there OMN is ALWAYS gonna have permanent troubles. Jawar can still help oromos if he likes in his capacity as political analyst, or even join Wayane, as he repeatedly suggested, but never with a role in OMN.

There are many, many potential administrators, even in Minnesota, who can be perfect directors of OMN without causing perpetual disasters every year.
The alternative is to shut down the network for good and use the money for more practical things such as buying weapons for those fighting TPLF state terrorism. Which media network did wayanes use to invade Oromia? Obbo, Mathias Gudina, please help OMN.

Concerning fundraising for Abdi, I think there are more desperate people in oromia who need our urgent help, unless he explicitly asked for assistance.

What an extremely disturbing development!!! OMN has lost one of its best members. It is even more disturbing to notice the involvement of Dr Solomon Ungashe in this issue. I deeply hope that Abdii Fixe didn’t serve as a very valuable card for Dr Ungashe’s vendetta against OMN. OMN management and the highly knowledgeable Abdi Fixe! Couldn’t you solve your issues amicably and comradely without the involvement of guys like the notorious Dr Ungaske??? Don’t you see the danger that such issues play in the hands of Oromoo people’s primary enemy the TPLF att same time discouraging Oromoo compatriots?

What is happening does not mean the end of the world. Abdiin tajaajila isaarraa deemsifamuun waan raajiis miti.
Our people have to take a deep breath. Make sure that conflict of interest exists anywhere human beings organize, where they think and act together. That again can precipitate disagreements, suspicion, one side thinking the other one is a threat, then conflicts. The problem is how mature they are to prevent and resolve issues in the best interest of the organization (OMN) and its beneficiaries, in this case, the Oromo, Oromia.
There is no doubt that OMN as Oromos’ Media played historic role in re-enforcing Pan-Oromo unity against the enemy of the nation as a whole. It played and plays greater role in elevating Oromo self-awareness,mobilizing Oromo resistance adding strength to the Oromo national Liberation forces, the Qerroo, qubee generation.
so the focus now is wishing Abdi a good Luck in his future endeavor and working toward saving the integrity of OMN. Separate individuals’ behaviors from the Media Network and it’s services to the nation that has no voices and friends but itself. Do not help the enemy of Oromo nation to rejoice that it’s desire to muffle Oromo voices is done for it by Oromo themselves for free.
Abdi, Abdii haaraatu siif banamuu malaa booni.
Warri murtoo dogoggora ta’een si geggeessanis ulfina ummata Oromoof dagaagina OMN iif jecha mee tajaajila biraa fudhaa jenna. Komee saba keessanii irraa hafaa. OMN akka dadhabuuf qawwaa hin-baninaa.
    kun yaada kooti.
